We offer a multi-level Green Star NZ Accreditation training program to suit a wide audience of people. Green Star NZ Accredited Professional training is useful for anyone interested in Green Building and looking to be a part of the Green Star NZ Certification process.

All Green Star NZ Accredited Professionals are accessible to the industry through a directory on NZGBC website, and receive a Green Star Accredited Professional newsletter keeping them informed of changes and updates to Green Star.

LEVEL 1

9:00am to 12:30pm

In the level 1 course, you can develop an understanding of Green Star NZ and how it can be effectively implemented in your Green Star NZ projects; what a green building is, how the Green Star NZ rating tool system works, which buildings can be rated with this system, what other tools are in development, how the point and weightings work within the tool and an overview of what is involved in the certification process.

Who attends:

A diverse range of professions - academics, architects, contractors/builders, cost planners, engineers, facilities managers, general managers, interior designers, landscape architects,

marketing managers, policy advisers, product manufacturers, project managers, quantity surveyors and solicitors who want to understand Green Star NZ but may not become an Accredited Professional.

Pre-requisite:

LEVEL 2

1:15pm to 5:15pm

To become a Green Star NZ Accredited Professional, you will need to attend the level 2 course

and sit the exam. The level 2 course will go into another level of detail looking at the certification process, your role as a GSNZAP, and will provide you with the opportunity to become familiar with a Green Star excel tool and Technical Manual.

Following the Level 2 training you will be able to sit the exam to become and Accredited Professional. Please note that the cost of the exam is not included in the price of the course - please click here for further details about the AP exam.

Who attends:

Course participants are a diverse range of professionals who aim to become Green Star NZ Accredited Professionals.

Why attend:

Whilst the reasons for attending vary, most people come in order to develop their understanding of how they can effectively implement, manufacture to, or request Green Star NZ standards. Those who become Green Star NZ Accredited Professionals are highly sought-after for their knowledge of Green Star NZ in this rapidly growing market. If a project team includes an Accredited Professional, the project will receive two points towards its Green Star NZ rating.

Pre-requisite:

Level 1 course or Green Building Council of Australia or South Africa AP course completion.
